Beginning of July, CMN – Constructions Mécaniques de Normandie successfully demonstrated the UHSI32 MkII, an autonomous drone variant of the HSI32, at sea.

Observed by the French Navy, MTG Marinetechnik GmbH, and GERMAN NAVAL YARDS, the trial showcased advanced capabilities:

  • Fully autonomous navigation with real-time obstacle avoidance
  • Live interception and escort of a moving target vessel
  • Remote mission control from a shore-based command post

The exercise concluded with a high-speed boarding and sea sortie, validating the vessel’s maneuverability and mission-readiness.

Equipped with an Anschütz GmbH navigation system, the UHSI32 MkII represents a major leap in European maritime autonomy.
